An Unforgettable Journey Through Botswana and Zimbabwe

Travel has a way of transforming our perspectives, and my recent educational trip with Nomad Tours & Bench Africa through Botswana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa was no exception. From breathtaking landscapes to profound cultural experiences, this journey challenged my expectations and left me with unforgettable memories.

Before arriving in Johannesburg, I had certain preconceptions, but visiting Soweto and the Apartheid Museum gave me a new appreciation for the city's resilience and rich history. Throughout the trip, I was captivated by the wildlife and landscapes of Botswana, especially during the game drives in the Okavango Delta, where I saw lions, hyenas, and elephants in their natural habitat. The mokoro canoe ride through the Delta was peaceful, providing a unique perspective of this stunning ecosystem.

Staying at Elephant Sands, where elephants roamed freely around the lodge, was a magical experience, while Shearwater Explorer Village in Victoria Falls provided a comfortable and convenient base for exploration. The passion and knowledge of our guides made the trip even more meaningful, offering insights into local cultures, wildlife, and history. This journey reminded me to seek adventure in everyday life, whether through travel, exploring new places, or simply spending more time outdoors. Southern Africa has so much to offer, and if you’re looking for a trip that combines stunning scenery, cultural depth, and thrilling experiences, Nomad Tours is the perfect choice.
